PA510 is a renewable and eco-friendly bio-based nylon polymerized from sebacic acid derived from castor oil and bio-based pentamethylene diamine. With 100% bio-based content, it is a high-performance long-chain nylon variety.

Bio-based Nylon PA510

PA510 is a renewable and eco-friendly bio-based nylon polymerized from sebacic acid derived from castor oil and bio-based pentamethylene diamine. With 100% bio-based content, it is a high-performance long-chain nylon variety.

 

Features:

  1. 100% bio-based, making it a low-carbon and environmentally friendly material.

  2. Excellent toughnesslow water absorption, and outstanding low-temperature resistance and dimensional stability.

  3. Superior oil resistancechemical resistance, and electrical properties.

  4. When reinforced with glass fiber or ceramic fiber, it exhibits exceptional strength and surface properties, serving as an ideal replacement for metals and ceramics in applications such as electronics, electrical appliances, and automotive components.

  5. Compared to PA1010, PA1012, and PA11, PA510 has fewer carbon atoms. Generally, fewer carbon atoms in nylon enhance hydrophilicity, which improves skin-friendly properties.

Applications:
PA510 is widely used in high-end toothbrush filaments, monofilaments, cable coatings, machinery manufacturing, oil storage containers, and textile machinery components. In the electronics industry, it is increasingly applied in battery casings, instrument guide rails, smartphone frames, watch cases, VR lightweight structural components, and other emerging fields.

This material offers high strength and moduluswear resistanceheat resistancelow water absorption, and excellent moldability and dimensional stability. It is ideal for components requiring low water absorption, high dimensional stability, high elastic modulus, and wear resistance.
