Performance Characteristics:
Excellent heat resistance: The heat deflection temperature typically exceeds 300°C, allowing it to operate stably for extended periods at temperatures above 260°C and withstand even higher temperatures for short durations.
Good mechanical properties: It exhibits high tensile strength, flexural strength, and wear resistance, maintaining stable mechanical performance even at high temperatures, along with strong impact resistance.
Outstanding chemical stability: It resists corrosion from most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents, demonstrating excellent tolerance to chemicals at high temperatures, as well as good oil resistance and oxidation resistance.
Superior electrical insulation: It features high dielectric strength and a low dielectric constant, ensuring stable electrical performance even in high-temperature and high-humidity environments.
Other characteristics: It has a very high allowable working temperature in air, excellent dimensional stability within a range of up to 280°C, outstanding wear and friction resistance, remarkable UV resistance, superior resistance to high-energy radiation, inherent low flammability, and high strength, high insulation, radiation resistance, corrosion resistance, self-lubrication, and a low thermal expansion coefficient.
Classification:
Unreinforced, uncolored PAI resin: Offers basic mechanical and thermal properties, suitable for applications where material performance requirements are not exceptionally high.
Unreinforced, lubricated, colored PAI resin: Enhances basic properties with added lubricity and specific colors, ideal for high-performance components requiring wear resistance, anti-creep, and chemical resistance.
Glass fiber-reinforced PAI resin: Incorporates glass fibers for higher strength and rigidity, suitable for valve components, aircraft, and industrial parts requiring high strength and dimensional stability.
Carbon fiber-reinforced PAI resin: Features excellent wear resistance, anti-creep properties, and chemical resistance due to carbon fiber reinforcement, maintaining strength and stiffness at high temperatures. It is widely used in chemical processing, semiconductors, medical fields, and more.
Processing Characteristics:
The processing of PAI plastic requires attention to specific technical requirements. Before molding, the material must be pre-dried at 121°C for 24 hours. During injection molding, the mold temperature should be maintained between 204°C and 218°C. The barrel temperature needs to be adjusted in three stages (nozzle: 371°C, front: 343°C, middle: 327°C, rear: 304°C) or two stages (nozzle: 371°C, front: 343°C, rear: 321°C). A special screw design is required, and the injection speed and pressure must be kept at relatively high levels.
